Our Teacher Professional Development sessions give teachers, educators and school support staff the skills and strategies to support students as they develop as citizens.
The activities show participants the different pedagogical approaches they can apply to support a generation of young people resolving to make a positive difference to the world.
Through the experience teachers hone their own competencies in:
- inclusive leadership,
- effective collaboration,
- cultural awareness,
- critical and creative thinking,
- personal and social capability, and
- intercultural understanding.
Developing an understanding and mastery of these curriculum objectives allows teachers to better support their students with the learning, and improve their outcomes.
We introduce participants to the learning science behind our Theory of Change, as well as sharing specific strategies and resources that can be applied to supporting students in all of their citizenship education activities.
